Acupuncture is one of the most effective and natural treatments for health care. Derived from China more than thousands of years ago acupuncture has been widely accepted by Australian, with 10% having received this treatment and 80% general medical practitioners referring their patients to acupuncture service according to the data in 2014.

Will acupuncture needles be safe?  The fully registered acupuncturist will use fine, single-use, sterile, disposable needles with the diameters of 0.16 mm to 0.25 mm which will cause very mild pain for just one second, sometime you can’t even feel it. Once we insert the acupuncture needle , then you will feel very relaxed,  and the energy starts to move in your body freely.

What kind of diseases can acupuncture treat? Acupuncture can treat a wide range of disorders, especially chronic pain such as headache, frozen shoulder, lower back pain, knee pain, tennis elbow, foot pain…Besides pain, acupuncture can also treat lots of internal diseases, such as psychological disease (stress, anxiety, insomnia), gynecological problems (period pain, menopause, infertility), and some chronic diseases (obesity, irritable bowel syndrome…).

Why acupuncture has so many effects for different diseases? According to  research, acupuncture can stimulate the human body’s own capability for recovery, by relocating the energy averagely, boosting our immune system, activating the blood circulation, and also balancing the body tension.

Your acupuncturist may also suggest some other treatments to improve the effect, such as: massage, stretching, cupping, herbal supplements and dietary changes. For more information please consult with our practitioners.
